Sometimes you need to know how AI treats a brand without wanting to track it: a pitch next week, a prospect's audit, a rival you want one clear look at. A one-off report is for that. brandflare researches the brand, checks it once across all five engines, and writes it up as a full report. The brand isn't added to the ones you track and doesn't use a brand slot.
One-off reports are part of the Agency plan and are bought one at a time. The price is on the pricing page.
How it works
- Name the brand. Open the avatar menu and select Run one-off report. Give the brand's name, website and market.
- Brief it, if you like. Name competitors it must be compared with, and say what the report should focus on: who is asking, which territories matter, what to leave out. Both are optional.
- We research it. This takes two or three minutes and costs nothing. You can leave the page; the report waits for you in Settings, under Reports.
- Review the competitors and questions. This is the step that makes the report yours. You see the competitors and the questions research suggests, and you can reword, remove or add any of them, up to your plan's limits. A report needs at least five questions.
- Run it. Only now is the report charged for. The questions and competitors are fixed from this point.
- Read it. The check takes 20 to 30 minutes, and the report is written straight after. You get an email when it's ready.
What you get
- The results in the app. The brand opens like any brand you track, with its Flare score, Questions & Prompts, Competitors, Answer Accuracy, Brand Narrative, Sources and Recommendations. It is marked as a one-off report and shows the day it was checked.
- The report as a PDF, in the brand's own colours, logo and header image.
- The report as a PowerPoint, with charts and tables you can edit.
Everything in Export Report applies: the same sections, the same findings, checked against the same figures.
What's different from a tracked brand
A one-off report is a single look, and the brand's pages stay as they were on the day of the check.
- It isn't checked again. There is no weekly check, so there are no trends and no alerts.
- Its pages are read-only. Questions, competitors and facts can't be changed once the report has run.
- It doesn't appear on your Dashboard. You'll find it in the brand switcher under One-off reports, and in Settings under Reports.
- It doesn't use a brand slot, however many you run.
Start tracking
If the brand turns out to matter, select Start tracking on its page. It becomes one of your tracked brands, with the same questions and competitors, and is checked every week from then on. The report's results become the start of its history, so the first trend line starts from the day of the report.
Tracking uses a brand slot. If all of yours are in use, the confirmation says what adding one costs before you agree to it.
Running another report
To see how a brand has moved, select Run another report on its page. You can change the competitors and questions first. The new report opens with what changed since the last one, and both stay in Settings under Reports.
A new report can be run 12 hours after the brand's last check; sooner than that the engines would be asked nothing new. If you expect to look at a brand more than once or twice, tracking it is the better way: it is checked every week, and you can export a report after any check.
If something goes wrong
If the report can't be written the first time, it is tried again by itself from the same answers. If it still can't be produced, the charge is returned in full and we tell you by email. Nothing more is needed from you, and you can run it again from Settings, under Reports, straight away.
Who can buy one
Buying a report adds a brand and spends the workspace's money, so it is for owners and admins. Everyone on the workspace can open the results and download the files. See teams and roles.
Research is free, and you can research up to five reports in any 30 days without running them. A report you run no longer counts towards the five; one you delete still does.
