ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) is the state-owned oil and gas company of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, founded in 1971. It operates across the full hydrocarbon value chain — exploration and production, gas processing and LNG, refining, trading, distribution and petrochemicals — and is commonly described as the world's 12th largest oil company by production, with capacity of more than 4 million barrels per day of oil and roughly 10–11.5 bcf/d of gas. The group works through specialist companies including ADNOC Onshore and Offshore, ADNOC Gas, ADNOC Drilling, ADNOC L&S, ADNOC LNG and ADNOC Distribution — the UAE's largest fuel retailer, with hundreds of service stations across all seven emirates as well as Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Several of these units are listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, while the parent remains 100% government-owned. Since 2024–25 ADNOC has channelled its international and lower-carbon growth ambitions through XRG, its wholly-owned international investment company.
