NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is a Saudi-based joint venture developing what it and its partners describe as the world's largest carbon-free green hydrogen production facility, located at Oxagon in the NEOM region of north-west Saudi Arabia. It is an equal three-way joint venture between ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM. The plant is designed to run entirely on dedicated on-site renewable power — up to 4 GW of combined solar and wind — feeding water electrolysis to produce up to 600 tonnes per day of hydrogen, which is converted on site into green ammonia for export by ship via a purpose-built jetty. Air Products serves as both EPC contractor/system integrator and the exclusive offtaker of all output under a 30-year agreement. The project reached financial close in May 2023 at a total investment value of USD 8.4 billion and is positioned as a pillar of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
